The shift in consumer behavior toward mobile devices is a great example of an area where golf customers are demanding access, information and handling their transactions on their phone. In early 2019, we recognized this trend and became focused on helping our clients find creative ways to expand mobile service offerings to golfers. This need has never been greater, with golf courses across the country looking for solutions to be innovative and improve the level of service and variety of purchasing options with their customers.
To meet this growing need, Total e Integrated launched several enhancements allowing golfers to:
The first option is the ability to modify existing reservations by adding a second, third or fourth player prior to arrival. Players can remove golfers on the reservation that cancel and replace them at any time. When this player detail is added to the reservation, a few key service enhancements occur; the system will send confirmations to the additional players for easy mobile check in and more importantly, allow them the ability to check in and remotely pay for their own individual round. This is a key feature because the prepaid tee times function alone doesn’t allow for the separating of payment, which is something many customers prefer and will not book without. These reservation confirmations can be sent via email, or mobile text if preferred by the customer.
Our mobile experience is simple and easy for golfers to navigate and it can be set up to offer additional service options and add-ons like food and beverage and retail purchases all from the mobile storefront. In case you’re wondering, all these mobile purchases would flow directly into your loyalty programs and customer purchase history, just the same as if they were making these purchases at the point of sale in the golf shop.
The system will allow for a Pre-pay option as well, including a small discount if you’d like to apply it as an enticement for the prepay functionality. This gives your golfing customer the chance to pay immediately or pay upon arrival, whatever their preference.
